Sweet Cherry Sorbet
(Makes 1 quart)
Ingredients:
1 cup orange juice
1 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 16-ounce package frozen pitted dark sweet cherries, thawed
¼ kirsch
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl combine orange juice, apple juice, and sugar, stirring till sugar dissolves; set aside. Place cherries in a blender container or food processor bowl. Cover and blend or process till smooth. Add the pureed cherries, kirsch, and lemon juice to the juice mixture.
Freeze in a 2-quart ice cream freezer according to manufacturer’s directions.
