| This is an 6th generation family farm that has farmed the same land since 1831. While wholesale is a large part of the Garwood farm they have a commitment to retailing fresh farm products and providing a wonderful farm experience on their farm. The Pinola Market is open from late June until Christmas Eve. The Garwood downtown LaPorte Market has farm fresh products year round. They also have fall U-Pick of apples, pumpkins, raspberries and some vegetables. The U-Pick is open Saturdays and Sundays in September and October. The Garwood farm is one of the largest orchards in the state with over 175 acres of apples. Garwood's also farm approximately 30 acres of peaches and 100 acres of other fruits and vegetables.
